The Barbe Group of Companies has introduced a new global Information Security Policy, effective from January 2025. This policy applies to all subsidiaries and locations worldwide, including Hans W. Barbe Chemische Erzeugnisse GmbH, Barbe (Thailand) Ltd., and Barbe America, Inc.

As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, Barbe is committed to the ten principles of the pact, including the protection of human rights, compliance with labor standards, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption. In this context, information security is regarded as a fundamental responsibility and a key factor in the company’s long-term success.

The new Information Security Policy is designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive corporate and customer data. It encompasses all relevant processes and systems that play a role in Barbe's daily operations.

Key aspects of the policy include:

• Awareness and Training: Employees will receive regular training on information security and data protection to recognize potential risks and act accordingly.
• Technological Security Measures: The implementation of encrypted systems, modern access controls, and regular security updates minimizes potential threats.
• Compliance with Legal Requirements: The policy ensures full adherence to national and international regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
